How dare people try and villainize those firefighters after what they have done to help getting paid crap money and being blamed for lack of resources. Go do it yourself next time! We are lucky they are even willing to do this job

Cavalry!!! NOT Calvary. Calvary is related to Jesus's history, cavalry has to do with the Civil war troops you were talking about.

My uncle was 16, and my dad was 13 when they were both drafted as foot soldiers who carried ammunition on foot to the secret sites throughout the jungle. My uncle stepped on a bomb on one of his mission, he became handicapped but he survived. Though they weren't legally honored as veterans and never receive veteran benefits, they are still gracious to this country. When my uncle died, we wrote a letter to the our local veteran rotary, they were kind to come and honor my uncle's death. I saw tears rolled down my Dad's face because his brother was finally honored for defending the Unites States. Reflecting back, it's so sad that none of this was even recognized in the school history books growing up. The United States is built on the backs of so many who were never acknowledged and were even left behind.

Very nicely done! I just arrived in the region for the weekend and am actually about 50 km from Bruyères. Looking forward to exploring more. Thanks for making this video. The quiet beauty of Nature, juxtaposed with the gritty horrors of war should make everyone rethink why humans have still not yet figured out how to stop sending their kids off to die.

I finally had a chance to watch this. I've been a fan of KMJ since I moved here in 1981 (although I grew up in Norwalk listening to KNX, so I preferred my wall-to-wall news coverage with a couple hours at night of Old Time Theater). I also have to laugh that someone outside of my family knows about Hobbs, New Mexico because I would go there during the summers as a kid to visit my grandparents.

@Unit13FREMSLT Whats even more annoying is the fact that I was watching this on my UA-cam app on my smart TV and anything such as this, I will always read comments when certain things in the video just dont jive. So I go to the comments to see if it was only me that it bothered. I will grab my phone because it is the only way for myself to post a comment. On my phone in the the comments which I wanted give feedback and opinion for what you posted. Your comment does not exist in my phone app but does on my "smart TV" app. Why is that you suppose?? All I was going to say was that the music was not that bad but the filmmaker makimg sure he was in the shots at times.. Why?? You are the film maker not the focus.. Not a big deal over all but for me it just shuts me off. Baker Boys and John Steele is a different story. If you haven't seen it watch it. It will make you incredibly infuriated ans it was done almost a decade ago.

As a sansei from Hawaii whose father was incarcerated in an internment camp in Utah, this documentary gave me further appreciation for what he went through. He ended his life soon after he returned from his incarceration, so I didn't have a chance to know him as I was only 10 months old when it left this world. Thank you for producing this informative and moving piece of history.

It’s already happening again. I see Americans being forced into camps everywhere. They’re taking our land, our homes, our buisness’, our jobs, our mobility, our identity, our rights, our future, and when there’s nothing left to take you die alone in a hospital. And nobody cares until it happens to them.

Millions of innocent lives were lost in vain. Especially those that were left behind to fend for themself with no weapons. Watching this video brings me a lot of tears for those who lost their lives being hunted like animals day and night after the US pulled out. I can still remember being hungry and scared at the age of 3. I was too young to understand, so I didn't cry til I got older growing up in the US. Thinking and remembering what had happened was really just heartbreaking. Feels like a part of me died with those who never made it out.
